Sun Catcher Collection

This August I'm hoping to add my artwork to the Art Beat event in downtown South Bend Indiana. It will be my first time entering an art show and I am really excited! It's normally an outside event so I want my booth to really stand out with my mosaic work. I have created a new line of mosaic sun catchers that I hope will catch the eyes of the public!

This first sun catcher is called "Cityscape" and shows birds flying over a city with a sunset in the background. It's 10 1/4 in x 12 1/4 .

They're all made from stained glass and have been hand cut, glued, and grouted all by me. I also have a trademark for all my mosaics. "Look for the hidden heart". I have hand cut a heart and placed it in every one of my mosaic pieces. See if you can spot it! :) I really really really love trees! I use them a lot and put nature into a lot of the different pieces I use :). All my work is made from recycled items items that I have recreated into new artwork. This next piece is called "A Walk in the Park". It shows trees in the background with birds flying over hills in a park. There's a river in the foreground that shows flowers along the river's edge. :) This piece is 6 1/2 x 8 1/2.

The flower mosaic is called "Among the Flowers". It's a cute little frame that will brighten up any window space and will make it look like spring is here no matter what outside shows :). This piece is 3 ¾ inches x 1 ½ inches.

Mosaic Jewelry and Gift Boxes

I now offer mosaic jewelry and gift boxes through my store. They're all hand cut and folded by me. The best thing about them is that they are recycled and they're unique. No one else will have something else like them so stand out with your gift wrappings. Or you business people I offer bulk orders too. :) Email me if you are interested and want details: mycentirmosaics@gmail.com.

Here are two different pendants I made recently. This peach flower mosaic pendant is so cute and will be great because spring is juuuuuuuuuust about here! lol It's cute cheery and fun! Plus it's made from recycled stained glass which is even cooler! I LOVE to recycle and it's so good for the Earth! So pass it on :). Interested in this piece? It's available here: http://www.etsy.com/listing/96681450/mosaic-peach-flower-pendant-stained?ref=v1_other_2

The "Together with you Pendant" will be great for a Mother's Day gift! A larger flower looks on in a meadow with a smaller flower. It represents a mother's love, friend's love, or just someone to be there next to you for support and strength. Interested in this piece? Catching up :)

Hello everyone! It's been awhile but I wanted to catch you up as to what's been going on since the last time I wrote. I entered my piece "Gentle Soul" into the Piece Maker's Mosaic Challenge and I WON FIRST PLACE!!!!! :D I was so excited and elated! Very cool! Here's my entry. It's all been made out of stained glass and it measures 12 in x 12 in. I finished this piece and a woman I work with actually bought it soon after! She was so excited and very happy to have it!

I've been updating my store and inventory because I'm hoping to enter my artwork into South Bend, Indiana's Art Beat event that happens downtown. That will happen in August so I'm preparing now so I have plenty of items! :)

B&W Mosaic Challenge

Hello everyone! :D

This month the Piecemaker's Group that I'm apart of on Etsy decided to come up with a new challenge theme. It's black and white and open to our own interpretation. I've been thinking hard on this idea and finally decided on what I'm going to do. I really want to focus on positive and negative space with this mosaic. I want all of my shapes and lines to form a picture of sorts.  But the overall design componets really focus on just that the design aspect.

*Notice how the white "postive space" makes up the larger cat. But the smaller cat is made up of  "negative space". That is what I want to do. (Not make this picture) But use the same kind of idea. So when you look at it, it's almost and optical illusion.

Now I'm not allowed to "tell" what I'm doing until Nov 30th. That's when they'll have the voting open to decide who won. I'll be able to post snippets of what I'm doing if you're interested. :)
Stay tuned for details! :D Also what do you think of this challenge idea?

Decorative Mosaic Stained Glass Plate

Hey everyone! I wanted to post a picture of the Decorative Mosaic Stained Glass Plate. I finished it with black grout and signed my artist signature in the bottom corner. It turned out pretty well I think! What do you think?
